We have a patient representative working with us in UKCCRG and we want to ensure the research we conduct reflects the needs of those who it potentially affects. Our research priorities are informed by patient and public needs, including the James Lind Alliance research prioritisation exercise. It is particularly important to involve patients and public in the design of all our research, because critical care research presents unique challenges in terms of consent and working with very seriously ill people.
